Device information: We collect a unique device identifier to support authentication, prevent multi-account abuse of the free tier, and enable session reconnection.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or banking details. We receive confirmation of purchases, subscription status, and transaction IDs from Stripe.

Usage data: We collect gameplay data such as games played, lobby codes, match history, and free tier usage counters to operate the Service.

Browser storage: The web version of the Service uses localStorage and IndexedDB to store session tokens and game state locally on your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Gameplay: Account and profile data is used to run multiplayer trivia games, including generating personalized questions about players.
• Authentication: Email, passwords, and device IDs are used to authenticate you and maintain your session.
• Payments: Purchase data is used to grant credits, manage subscriptions, and fulfill entitlements.
• Abuse prevention: Device IDs are used to detect multi-account abuse of the free tier.
• Service operation: Usage data is used to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Stripe — Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini — AI question generation. Profile information and custom topics you provide may be sent to Google's Gemini API to generate trivia questions. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Heroic Labs (Nakama) — Game server infrastructure for matchmaking, authentication, and data storage.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your data is shared only in the following circumstances:

• With other players in your lobby (display name, avatar, and profile details you've provided — this is necessary for personalized trivia).
• With third-party service providers as described above, solely to operate the Service.
• If required by law or to protect our legal rights.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on our game servers. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS) and hashed passwords. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

• Account data is retained as long as your account is active.
• Guest account data may be deleted after a period of inactivity.
• Payment records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
• Free tier usage counters reset daily.
